About An Sgarsoch
An Sgarsoch stands in exceptionally remote country between the Cairngorms and the Atholl hills, its broad summit rising above the headwaters of the River Geldie. Usually climbed with Càrn an Fhidhleir, the journey from Linn of Dee passes ancient pinewoods, isolated bothies and miles of open moorland. The rounded slopes conceal a rewarding sense of wilderness, with expansive views towards the Cairngorm plateau, Glen Feshie and distant Perthshire mountains on clear days throughout the year.
