About An Socach (Braemar)
An Socach is a peaceful Munro overlooking Glen Clunie, south of Braemar in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. Its broad, elongated ridge rises above rolling moorland, offering expansive views towards neighbouring mountains and remote Highland valleys. The popular route begins near Baddoch Farm, following quiet estate tracks before ascending open grassy slopes and a stony summit ridge. Less crowded than nearby Glenshee peaks, An Socach rewards walkers with tranquillity, beautiful scenery and a memorable mountain experience.
