About Beinn a' Chaorainn (Cairngorms)

Beinn a' Chaorainn rises above the remote Lairig an Laoigh pass in the eastern Cairngorms, with steep western slopes overlooking Glen Derry. Its rounded summit offers expansive views towards Beinn Mheadhoin, Ben Macdui and the surrounding granite mountains. Commonly climbed with Beinn Bhreac, the route crosses ancient pinewoods and the vast, boggy Moine Bhealaidh plateau. The mountain's quiet setting, dramatic corries and far reaching panoramas create a rewarding adventure in Scotland's wild mountain heart and wilderness.
