About Beinn a' Chaorainn (Glen Spean)

Beinn a' Chaorainn rises above Glen Spean near Laggan Dam, forming a mountain pair with neighbouring Beinn Teallach. Its long summit ridge crosses three prominent tops, offering sweeping views towards Creag Meagaidh, Loch Laggan and the surrounding Highland ranges. The popular circuit climbs from Roughburn through forestry and boggy moorland before reaching open, rocky mountain terrain. Dramatic eastern corries contrast with gentler western slopes, making the high ridge a rewarding and memorable Highland walking experience.
