About Beinn Bheoil
Beinn Bheòil forms a long mountain ridge above the western shores of Loch Ericht, facing the impressive cliffs and sweeping plateau of Ben Alder. Its grassy slopes and rocky summit provide spectacular views across one of Scotland's remotest Highland landscapes. Usually climbed alongside Ben Alder, the route crosses wild corries, lofty ridges and open moorland. From the summit, walkers can admire Loch Ericht stretching northwards towards Dalwhinnie, with distant mountains filling the horizon on clear days.
