About Ben Alder
Ben Alder dominates one of Scotland's remotest mountain landscapes, rising above Loch Ericht and the wild heart of the Central Highlands. Its immense summit plateau is surrounded by dramatic corries, rocky ridges and sweeping open hillsides. The celebrated Long Leachas provides an adventurous approach, while neighbouring Beinn Bheòil completes a memorable two Munro circuit. Expansive views towards the Cairngorms, Loch Ossian and distant western mountains make Ben Alder a spectacular destination for experienced Highland walkers.
