About Broad Cairn

Broad Cairn rises to 998 metres within the expansive White Mounth plateau of the Cairngorms National Park. Overlooking beautiful Loch Muick, this rocky Munro features a broad summit, scattered granite boulders and sweeping views across the surrounding Highland wilderness. Its proximity to neighbouring Cairn Bannoch makes it a popular choice for combining two Munros. The surrounding landscape includes dramatic corries, remote mountain ridges and spectacular scenery, offering walkers a memorable adventure through Scotland's eastern Highlands.
