About Càrn a' Mhàim

Càrn a' Mhàim rises above Glen Luibeg in the heart of the Cairngorms, its elegant narrow ridge stretching towards mighty Ben Macdui. The approach from Linn of Dee passes ancient pinewoods, Derry Lodge and the sweeping valley beneath the Lairig Ghru. From its stony summit, walkers enjoy dramatic views across to Cairn Toul, the Devil's Point and surrounding plateaux. Unlike many rounded Cairngorm tops, its airy northern ridge gives this remote mountain a distinctive character.
