About Càrn an Rìgh

Càrn an Rìgh stands in remote hills west of Glenshee, its rounded, stony summit overlooking wide Highland glens and neighbouring mountains. Its Gaelic name means Cairn of the King. Commonly climbed with Glas Tulaichean, the journey follows estate tracks, open ridges and a boggy mountain bealach. From the summit, walkers enjoy expansive views towards Beinn a' Ghlò, Glen Ey and the southern Cairngorms. Its secluded position gives this rewarding Munro a genuine sense of wilderness.
