About Càrn an t-Sagairt Mòr

Càrn an t-Sagairt Mòr is a broad, rounded Munro on the White Mounth plateau west of Lochnagar. Its Gaelic name recalls a priest, while scattered aircraft wreckage gives the summit a poignant historical association. The five Munro circuit crosses open, stony ground with wide views across Glen Muick, Loch Callater and the eastern Cairngorms. A gentle looking dome amid vast uplands, the mountain rewards walkers with solitude, horizons and a remarkable sense of Highland wilderness.
