About Càrn Bhac
Càrn Bhac stands at the remote head of Glen Ey, southwest of Braemar, where rounded slopes and a stony summit overlook the southern Cairngorms. The long approach from Inverey follows a peaceful estate track past historic ruins towards Altanour Lodge. Often climbed with Beinn Iutharn Mhòr, its broad ridges lead across wild moorland and peat hags. Extensive views towards Glen Tilt, An Socach and surrounding hills reward walkers seeking a quieter, peaceful Highland mountain adventure.
