About Glas Maol
Glas Maol is a magnificent Munro rising above Glenshee in the eastern Cairngorms, offering sweeping views across Scotland’s beautiful Highland landscape. Its broad, grassy summit and expansive plateau create a wonderful sense of openness, with neighbouring ridges stretching towards distant mountains. Often climbed alongside Creag Leacach, the route combines gentle slopes, rocky sections and impressive panoramic scenery. Despite nearby ski infrastructure, Glas Maol provides a rewarding mountain adventure through the peaceful hills of Angus and beyond.
