About Mount Keen
Mount Keen is Scotland’s most easterly Munro, rising above the sweeping moorlands of the Angus Glens within the Cairngorms National Park. Approached through picturesque Glen Esk, the route passes historic landmarks, peaceful rivers and expansive heather-covered hillsides before reaching its rocky summit. Walkers are rewarded with spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and distant mountains. Although the ascent is relatively straightforward, its lengthy approach and remote setting provide a memorable Highland walking adventure for visitors throughout Scotland.
