About Schiehallion

Schiehallion is one of Scotland’s most recognisable Munros, famous for its distinctive conical shape and fascinating scientific history. Rising above Loch Rannoch in beautiful Highland Perthshire, the mountain offers sweeping views across surrounding lochs, glens and distant peaks. Its popular route begins at Braes of Foss, following a well-maintained path before crossing a rocky summit ridge. Known as the Fairy Hill of the Caledonians, Schiehallion combines breathtaking scenery, ancient folklore and rewarding mountain adventure.
