Our experience

Bunroy Park is one of my favourite campsites, and somewhere I keep coming back to. I have now stayed here four times, and every visit has been just as enjoyable as the last.

The first thing that always stands out to me is how clean and tidy the site is. Everything is really well looked after, and that makes such a difference when you arrive and settle in. It is clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the campsite.

The owners are also a huge part of what makes Bunroy so special. They are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which gives the campsite a lovely personal atmosphere. You never feel like you're just another booking. The location is another massive highlight for me. The River Spean runs alongside the campsite, and being able to enjoy the river and the surrounding Highland scenery makes Bunroy feel like a proper escape.

The views are beautiful, and it is especially lovely when you can sit and take in the peaceful surroundings. It is also a really quiet campsite. If you're looking for somewhere to relax rather than a busy holiday park packed with entertainment and noise, Bunroy is exactly the kind of place I would recommend.

The campsite itself is set within a beautiful Highland landscape, with woodland surrounding the camping areas and the River Spean right alongside the park. There are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the scenery without having to go anywhere.

The facilities are another reason I enjoy staying here. The campsite has a campers' kitchen, laundry facilities, toilets and showers, fresh water, waste disposal and recycling. The shower and toilet block is kept clean throughout the day, which matches my own experience of the site always being exceptionally clean and tidy.

Bunroy is also dog friendly for camping and touring guests, with dogs allowed on leads. There are woodland and riverside areas nearby where you can enjoy a walk.

The location is particularly useful if you're exploring the Highlands. Bunroy Park is in Roybridge, close to Fort William, and makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area. After four visits, I can honestly say that Bunroy Park is somewhere I would happily return to again and again.

It is peaceful, clean, welcoming and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The River Spean, the quiet atmosphere and the friendly owners are what make this campsite stand out for me.

If you're looking for a peaceful Highland campsite with beautiful scenery rather than a busy holiday park, Bunroy Park is definitely one I would recommend. For me, Bunroy Park gets a 5/5 overall rating and is one of my favourite campsites.
